We are calling for applications for two anaesthesia internship positions
starting in September 2018.
Pride Veterinary Centre is a rapidly growing, multidisciplinary private
hospital located in Derby, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will
work under direct supervision of anaesthesia specialists (4 ECVAA and 1
ACVAA Diplomates, and 1 ECVAA-resident trained fellow) to provide
anaesthesia and analgesia service for varied surgical and diagnostic case
loads. Currently the hospital offers specialist services in: anaesthesia
and analgesia, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries,
internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, dermatology and cardiology.

Ideally, candidates would have at least 1-2 years of clinical experience
in general practice (preferably small animal) or have taken part in a
rotating internship, although new graduates will also be considered.
Desire to pursue a residency in anaesthesia is not a requirement. However,
this internship program is aimed at preparing the candidate for a
residency. You must be a member of the RCVS prior to working in the UK.
Additional desired skills are good English language skills and
communication skills, punctuality, ability to work and think clearly under
pressure, good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for anaesthesia.
